Third and Fourth Graders Help the Hungry
FSM third and fourth students took a field trip to Feed My Starving Children to present their classroom donation and worked packing meals for the hungry.
During their two-hour field trip, they made and boxed 4,752 meals. These meals can feed thirteen children for an entire year. They also proudly presented their donation of $189.00 that they raised at their Poetry Cafe. The money will cover the cost of purchasing the food for three additional children for an entire year.
Feed My Starving Children is an organization that packages food sent to starving children all over the world. Our students were so pleased to have helped so many others in need. They learned in a very concrete way how much their time and money can help others.
