Who Benefits from the Gala?
About half of all proceeds from the Winter Gala go to support the Friends School of Minnesota's Scholarship Fund, which provides financial
assistance to families who have difficulty paying full tuition. About 35 percent of FSM families receive some tuition aid, which does not need to be repaid.
The other half of the Gala proceeds are used to purchase educational materials, such as books, curricula, classroom supplies, and musical instruments and
to provide transportation and field trips.
Live Auction
During the Live Auction, you'll have the chance to bid on:

a pair of tickets to anywhere in Asia that Northwest Airlines flies;
- a week's vacation in a Paris flat or at an apartment on a Scottish estate;
- a brand-new mountain bike with cool accessories;
- many more fun and exciting items!
The Live Auction will begin at 9:00 p.m.
Great Gatherings
Great Gatherings are a great way to have fun while you support Friends School! Buy tickets to events hosted by members of the school community. This year's offerings include a wonderful wine tasting, a poker party, a night of Indian cinema and henna tattoos, a chef's demonstration dinner, a pasta-making party for kids, and lots, lots, more.

We can swipe your card as you enter the Gala, and then automatically deduct the cost of any items you purchase at auction, Great Gatherings you sign up for, or beverages you buy. That way, you won't need to wait in a checkout line at the end of the event to claim your booty!
