How do I apply?

emailing admissions@fsmn.org. We will send you an information packet
including application materials. We also welcome the chance to chat with you
about your child! Schedule a visit and tour the school. If you think that
FSM would be a good fit for your child, complete our application form and
return it by February 15th with the $50 application fee.
How can I visit the school?
- Friends School of Minnesota will have admissions open houses in the fall and
winter of 2008-09.
- Take a parent tour. Visits include a tour, classroom observations
and a chance to meet school staff. Tours begin in October at 9:30 a.m. on
most Monday and Thursday mornings through May. Please contact us for an
appointment at 651-917-0636 or admissions@fsmn.org.
- If you apply and a mutual good fit seems likely, we will schedule an applicant visit. Applicants for 1st-8th grades visit for a school day.
During their visit, they get to see what FSM is like and interact with staff and peers. Our staff does assessments and gets to know the applicant.
Kindergarten applicants visit together in small groups on selected Saturdays in March.
When are admissions decisions reached?
Our application deadline is February 15th. Applicants meeting the deadlines should receive notification of our admissions decisions in early April.
After Febuary 15th, we continue to accept applications on a rolling basis until all openings are filled.
If my child is accepted, how do I guarantee his/her entrance to Friends School?
After receiving notification of acceptance, you have two weeks to make a non-refundable deposit of 10 percent of the following year's tuition. This deposit guarantees your child's entrance to Friends School
Does applying for tuition aid affect the admissions
process?
The two processes are separate. All applications for tuition aid must be accompanied by an application for admission.
